Why not spend it in Germany

5 reasons not to spend all your money from work in Germany

If you have recently returned from work in Germany and have a lot of money plans, stop.

You need to recalculate your budget, analyze the situation well and know clearly what you are doing with the money.

For starters, ask yourself one question: how long will you not have a guaranteed monthly income? If you remain unemployed in Romania for a good period of time, then you will have to divide your money so that it is enough for expenses, bills and maintenance. In this case, the investments in the house will not be very high, because, practically, you ensure your salary for a few months. Depending on how much money you earn, consider the following factors:

  • whether or not you have a job in Romania;
  • what money emergencies you have for the house;
  • what are the expenses you have in the coming months;
  • when you can return to work abroad.

If your job in Germany is stable and you return to work abroad every few months, it means that the problem of money management is not so big. All you have to do, for starters, is set aside money for expenses from the next few months until your next arrival.

You certainly wouldn’t want to run out of money before you go to Germany again. You need to make sure that all your expenses are covered for a long time. Then don’t forget about savings. You know very well that savings are an extremely important part of your financial security and as you know that there is money that disappears without a trace and you fail to realize what you did with them, you better put them on.

Economic studies show that no matter what your income, you can put at least 10% aside. If your income when you returned home from Germany is 5,000 euros, then you could very easily put aside, in a savings account, at least 500 euros.

And even if it seems like a lot now, think it’s only 10% of what you earned.

And when you need it most, you’ll know for sure that your savings can help. After you have calculated your expenses and set aside 10% for savings, it is time to see what are the house emergencies. Do you need to fix anything? Do you need a new bed or new furniture?

Calculate the costs and you can get what you want as long as you are within the remaining money. Remember that you have already set aside for expenses and savings, so you are safe. It is important not to venture into what is more expensive, just because you have money now.

Stay with your head on your shoulders, realistically and buy yourself according to the needs and preferences of the family, but especially depending on the style of the house. Another important factor is not to go to extremes. Learn to grow your lifestyle easily and balanced, in order to remain economically and emotionally stable.

Don’t buy things you don’t need. Sure, you can indulge in a new bracelet or blouse, but you certainly don’t need three bracelets and another 10 handbags. Work for financial reasoning, not for pleasures that you will regret later. Remember that from the month you leave for your next trip to Germany until you arrive, there are some minimum expenses you need to insure, especially if children or other family members stay at home.

That period must be allocated a serious amount of money for extraordinary expenses or events. And then, going to Germany is not free either, so make sure you have money aside for transportation and for the bare necessities on the road. Money is a real temptation and even if there is a lot at the moment, remember that you also have a lot of expenses to cover. Be sober and check the following:

  1. money for expenses for the period when you are not working;
  2. money for savings;
  3. money for the renovation you want;
  4. money for returning to Germany;
  5. money for the family.

It’s easier than you think, and in the end you can be left with a surprisingly large amount of money. Moreover, keep in mind that when unfortunate or unforeseen events occur, you will be prepared to face them, because you will have a considerable amount of savings.

What to do with the money?

Considering that a sum of 3000 euros is also large, take into account some large expenses that you still wanted to make, but for which you did not have the necessary amount. It can be about renovating the house, about furniture, about some medical checks or about some refreshments of the children’s wardrobe.

In any case, don’t just change curtains, for example. If you know the window needs to be changed, now is the time.

The job in Germany allows you to make the major changes you wanted, because you have a large amount of money at once. Therefore, analyze well what your house needs and get to work.
